It’s dance recital week for my daughter, so things have been a bit crazy with rehearsals added onto our already busy schedule. Unfortunately, I also missed one of my stamping buddies birthdays this week so I knew I needed a clever card for her. This Turtle Friends belated birthday card using the TGIF challenges sketch should be perfect! If you ever get stuck in the creative process, sketches are a great way to get the juices flowing again. We’d love to have you join us this week at TGIF Challenges!

Turtle Friends Belated Birthday Card
For the turtle image, I began by stamping the full turtle in Black memento ink onto Basic White cardstock. I used the light and dark Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends to color the body and shell. Next, I stamped the shell accent in Granny Apple Green ink. The Stamparatus makes lining this up a breeze! And finally, I punched out the image with the Turtle punch. The party hat was stamped on a scrap of Basic White, colored with blends, and fussy cut.

Isn’t the greeting perfect? If you’d like a quick tutorial on heat embossing a greeting, check out this post. The background pattern papers are from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper pack. I am so in love with this paper! It is only available as a host reward, so if you want some, contact me and I’ll be glad to help you get some!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
